Campus Community Manager

What you will do

Most campus chat groups have thousands of members and nobody talking. We want the opposite at your campus: a Worksider group where students actually help each other find internships, part-time work, projects and people worth knowing. You bring the people. We send the content: openings for your campus, deadlines and a weekly question.

• Run Worksider's Telegram group for your campus, together with a co-manager
• Bring in students who would get something out of it: course mates, CCA friends, juniors looking for their first internship
• Welcome new members, answer questions and keep the conversation going
• Keep the group safe: approve new members, and remove spam and scams quickly
• Host one small thing every two weeks, like a kopi chat for six, a CV clinic, or a talk with a senior who did the internship everyone wants
• Introduce people who should meet, like a developer who needs a designer for a hackathon
• Help run paid campaigns in your group when brands and companies book them
• Tell us what students at your campus need, so we build the right things

What we are looking for

• Studying at a university or polytechnic in Singapore, with at least one semester to go
• 18 or older
• You know a lot of people, through a CCA, hall, faculty club or project group
• You use Telegram every day, and you know what makes a group worth reading
• You follow through. If you say six people are coming, six people come
• Comfortable messaging people you have not met yet, and hosting a table of strangers
• Around 4 hours a week, at times that suit you
• You do not need to have done this before. We will show you how

What you get

• Paid campaign work when brands and companies book campaigns in your group. Each one says what it involves and what it pays before you say yes. We cannot promise how many there will be, and in the first months there may be few
• A reference letter at the end of the semester, if you have done the work
• A first look at what we build next, and a real say in it

Good to know

• This is a pilot. We are starting with a few campuses, two managers each
• Already run a big CCA, hall or faculty group? Tell us in your application. You might bring Worksider into it instead of starting a new one.
• You choose when and how you work. Each month we agree on what gets done.
• You will never pay for anything, sell anything to your friends, or chase a sales target.
• On a Student's Pass? Say so in your application, and we will check that you can take this on.
