What we collect

People looking for work: your email and name, and whatever you add to your profile. That can be where you are now (studying, in NS, working), whether you are looking, your school, course, qualification and graduation year, your job title, employer, field, industry and years of experience, when you could start, your right to work in Singapore, the pay you are aiming for, skills, languages, the kind of work and company you want, a short intro, a CV and links, including LinkedIn. Every one of these is optional. We do not ask for your NRIC, phone number, age, gender, race or religion.

Companies: company name, work email, website, and optionally your UEN.

Why

To show you relevant roles, to send an application to a company when you choose to apply, to put you forward for roles if you say companies can find you, and to email you matching roles if you ask for that. Pay figures from job listings are used, without naming anyone, in our Singapore pay averages.

Who sees it

A company sees your profile and CV for roles you actually apply to.

Unless you switch it to "Only companies I apply to", companies can find you on Worksider. That means we may show a company a short summary of your profile when you look like a match: no name, no contact details, no employer, no school, no links and no pay. If the company is interested, we ask you. Your name, contact details and CV go to that company only after you say yes to it. We never show your profile to the company you say you work for. You can change this on your profile at any time.

Some answers are never shown to any company: the pay you are aiming for, whether you are looking, the kind of company you want, and your current employer. We use them only to decide which roles fit you.

Reading your CV

If you press "Read my CV", your CV is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, to be read. What it finds is shown to you in the form to check, and nothing is saved until you press Save. Anthropic processes it for us under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train its models on it. What was read from your CV is deleted when your CV is.

How long

CVs are deleted after 12 months without activity, and immediately when you delete them, along with anything read from them. Unverified accounts go after 7 days. Delete your account from your dashboard and everything personal goes within 30 days; payment records are kept five years because IRAS requires it.

Where

Our hosting is in Singapore. We use Stripe for payments, Mailgun for email, Google for sign-in, Telegram for the channel and Anthropic to read CVs you ask us to read, so some data is processed outside Singapore under their own protections.
